First hot weekend ....

This past weekend was so great not only because of all the activities I had planned but also because of the beautiful weather we had. I was off on Saturday ... A. came over from Hamburg ... and we started early to the yearly spring party. We spent the whole day there visiting the gardens where people were selling vine made of fruit and other delicious food. In the evening we went to a nice Italian restaurant since the plan was to go to a live karaoke party afterwards, which we did.

This day was so much fun!

I ... I got a new life

lol ... or something like that :)

I have a list of things to do for this year .. things I have to / want to achieve .... besides my project ... which I laid down after just the first 2 pages ... I decided that I have to find something an occupation besides my regular job that makes me feel good... I wanted a new choir. Before that could happen I had to find a church in Berlin, that I would find fitting.

Some weeks ago I got reminded that I had that plan ... so I was looking for a church first. I found one .... a nice small old fashioned church just 10 minutes from my home. I wasn't even aware of that we had such churches in Berlin. But we obvilously have. This church is so old and pretty I fell in love with it already on the picture. So I went to the service the next sunday. It was even more beautiful when I was inside. So cosy. I wanted to find out if they even had a choir. So while I was sitting there praying and listening I got the idea to take another look at the Swedish church in Berlin, maybe they would have a choir too. I was surprised that I haven't thought of this before .... I can sing and practise Swedish at the same time, which is just perfect, since I barely get to speak Swedish currently since I always travel with not Swedish speakers so everybody is talking English to be polite :) Said and done ... and I got accepted.

So today I went to my first rehearsals and I really liked it. Everybody is very nice and I'm looking forward to the next time :)

What else happened? Well we had a nice photoshooting for the next Big Ben album last Saturday. I really enjoyed it. The outcome will be shown, once the cover is designed and the album is out :)

That's it for today :) Will have to think about what to change next :P

Another long week .... and full of food

This week seemed it would never end ... although we had just 4 days of work, since Monday was holiday in Germany because of Easter. So I came back to work, after my small holidays (took 4 days of my rest holiday from last year and got 10 free days ... nice deal huh?) with the intention not to go into the stress life again and leave candy and sweet stuff aside since I had eaten far to much during Easter ....

My colleague was sick so that was the deal with the stress free time and my boss and another colleague brought cake and candy so even that itention was destroyed after just 3 hours at work on Tuesday. I went to the gym on Tuesday evening .... Ben cancelled our traing .... he is gonna suffer for that lol ... being at the gym felt good, even if I ran only 2 km this week at the gym ... the day after my whole body was aching. I hope that's the pain the muscles come from, otherwise I will be destroyed lol and will hate me for that waste of time hehe. Otherwise I worked quite a lot this week. So not that much to report.

Oh I made a new years promise ... don't even remember if I wrote it here but either way I'm looking for a new Church to go to. So I think I found one. Will attend the service there this Sunday and see if I like it. Would be so cool if they even had a choir. I long so bad singing in a choir again. I will keep you updated on this progress.

Tomorrow I will go to the gym again ... after that rehearsals and after the rehearsals Mary will have her house warming party in her new apartment. This is gonna be fun I think :)

That was my short update! Have a great weekend :)

Windows vs. Mac

So I have a computer and I bought a mac in november last year. Everybody that owns a mac said to me, it's so easy and so much better than windows. So far I have hard times to believe that. I have to admit that there are a lot of features of my mac I really like and those are so much better than windows BUT the reason I bought a macbook was that I am able to be online during traveling and that was most important able to update the websites. So since almost half a year I'm looking for suitable programs that are fitting with my windows programs. I'm not even able to resize pictures. All programs that I normally use have no suitable one for mac. I go insane. Right now I'm of the opinion that I will install even windows on my mac so that I have all that I need. On the other hand I'm unsure because windows in known for making computers working slower ... I'm just angry that I spent all that money and can't work properly right now.

End of my complaint :)

4 days in Hamburg

Last Sunday my mom and I went to Hamburg. We had concert tickets for Ronan Keatings concert, which I had given to my mom as a X-mas present, which we would go to on Tuesday, since she is such a huge Ronan Keating fan and I wanted to visit my Lieblingsfreundin Anja. We had cheap tickets for the bus, so we had to take a bus that leaves at 7:00 am. I had rehearsals the evening before and the paintball shooting plus the time changed from winter into summertime this night so even there we lost one hour.

So I slept max. 2 hours at home. When we came to the Underground the train was gone, we had to wait 15 minutes for the next one ... which also meant we already had a delay of 15 minutes, so all the other trains and busses I had planned wouldn't work anymore. I make it short ... we made the bus lol we arrived there in the last moment. I slept another 3 hours on the bus ride.

At 10:00 am we arrived in Hamburg and met Anja at the station. We went to her flat and the weather was still nice but cold. In the afternoon we went to the town again to take a walk at the harbour and to go to the Hamburger Dom, which is some kind of huge amusement park. When we arrived at the harbour it started to rain a bit ... when we arrived at the Dom it was raining so bad ... we got wet to the bones after just some minutes so we left and went back home. We spent the rest of the day with getting warm and dry again.

Anja had to work on monday so I showed my mom the town. We went shopping in the city center. The weather was better that day, we even had some sun. We went to the panopticon which was really fun and after that we tried a second time to go around the harbour, this time we had sun. In the early evening we went home to meet Anja who had just arrived from work. The plans for this evening was going to the cinema. We saw "Alice in Wonderland". I liked the movie. It was the first time I saw a whole movie in 3-D. It was cool.

On Tuesday my mom and I went to the zoo and the aquarium. It was fun. We spent the whole day there. In the evening we went to the concert. We had tickets for the 5th row - the concert was seated. I didn't like the location that much. I don't like being seated during a concert in general. Already at the first song the first row jumped out of the seats and we other followed lol so we were just semi seated lol. We had a lot of fun, although I must say that I am probably spoilt standing in the first row at the AoB concerts, 5th row felt far away. Second minus was the sound. They didn't manage to get it right so that it was sometimes quite hurting in my ears. I'm convinced that it wasn't the fault of the singer, since I consider him to be a good singer but the settings were just miserable. The show was good, but too many ballads for my taste. At a pop concert I like to have uptempo songs to party to the max. All in all it was good. I took some nice pictures and had fun.

Wednesday we took it easy. The day before was exhausting lol. The bus home left at 5 pm. So we went to town around lunch and went through some stores and looked at some things.

All in all I had 4 fantastic and relaxing days in Hamburg. I have been there several times before but never did that much there during so little time :)

Paintball shooting is fun but...

Last week I was paintball shooting, which I got as a birthday present last year from my band friends. I was very curious how it would be. Besides that I have always been a loser when it comes to sports esp. team sport lol I was quite nervous. I was going with M. from the band, since he also had a voucher. We love to tease each other, we always do that during rehearsals, so we thought we would fight against each other like shooting at each other until the ammunition is run out. How should we know this "sport" has rules lol.

So we got an introduction. We got our equipment ... it was indoor. We looked ridiculous since the clothes was far to big for both of us. There were 2 fields and we got to be in the team of someone else. Later on we found out that those guys were from the German army. I was the only woman lol. I got shot after 5 seconds on the field. Right on the safety glasses. But at the end I got more familiar and got to stay longer on the field. It was fun, but on the other hand I was thinking about how we could play war when somewhere on earth people get killed by guns and in wars. This was a strange thing indeed.

Other than that I got hit 3 times really bad and it hurt .... I got hit by a plastic ball filled with colour and it hurt ... can you imagine how real ammunition must hurt? I have some black marks which slightly turn lighter day by day.

This was definitely an experience and I had a lot of fun, but I don't think this could become the sport of my life :)
