7 hours to go ... I'm ready to take off

So now they are finally here, my pre-summer holidays lol ... Gran Canaria is the goal lol I've never been there before, but wanted to go there so bad. Now it's time. My bag is packed, I have the tickets, I have my passport, I have sunscreen and a bikini ... everything else is not so important besides my camera.

I'm so excited and wondering what the hotel is gonna be, I really hope that the pictures are showing the reality. Take a look here what I expect:

This doesn't look too bad, does it? Anyway I'm looking forward the nature, the sea and the summer feeling so bad. And I'm waiting for that moment when I walk along the beach listening to Beuatiful Life from Ace of Base, since this island or the holidays there inspired Jonas Berggren to write the song :)

Jenny Berggren - Here I Am - The Video

It's in the middle of the night ... 2am to be exact and I just wanted to let you know that I love the new video of Jenny Berggren :) I just returned form a day trip in Hamburg and on the way back I got an email from A. that the video is online. What else should happen when I am one day off and no internet in sight?

The Winner Takes It All ...

Yesterday evening we went to a live karaoke party near my home. The theme was "Baby one more time" which means Pop music :) They played mostly music from the late 80s and 90s and it was great. The first ones were Mary, Anja and I - we sang Gimme, Gimme, Gimme by ABBA. We had a blast, singing with a live band is so much fun. Ben sang "The Great Commandment" and Matt and I tried the choreo on that one since we had performed the song live in our own Big Ben program 2 years ago. Other than that we sang "This Is The Life" by Amy McDonald and "I Will Survive"... Pretty interesting huhu ? :)

The funniest thing was that we actually won the 1st set with Gimme, Gimme, Gimme lol So we got a VIP Card which means 5 months free entry at the Pop live karaoke parties :)

Found my runner's high...

So the run is over ... 15.424 women were running against breast cancer yesterday in Berlin and I was one of them. I made 5 km in 30:02 mins (I wanted to bad be under 30 minutes, but who cares actually it was for fun) and I became no. 569 from 2072 women who started the 5 km run with time measuring. I'm proud of myself. From our company 5 women started - I became 3rd as last time :)

The track lead through Berlin Tiergarten, some big park between Brandenburg Gate and the Siegessäule (Column of victory).

It was so great to run ... 1st km ... 2nd km ... the way between the 3rd and 4th km was exhausting and didn't seem to stop. And then there was that little boy, 2-3 years old who wanted to high five and no body realised him. So I was giving him high five and got more power just before the end of the track. I listened to "Here I Am" from Jenny Berggren while being on the final track. I was sprinting the last 300 meters to get under those magic 30 minutes but didn't make it but still I am proud of myself, since my best time at the gym was always around 32 minutes.
But after the run is before the run ... the next one is the company relay 5x5 km which is on June 10th :)

damn mp3 players ... the countdown has started

so in 2 days is the big run ... well it's not a big run, but I mean on Saturday the day has come .... the day I was preparing myself for the past weeks. Today I went to the last training and we got our shirts and the startnumbers and the chip to meassure the time... Today was my last training before the run and I somehow enjoyed it.

I wanted to prepare my mp3 player the whole week. you remember? I wa sthinking about getting an ipod or a new smaller mp3 player. but then again I told myself is it worth spending money because I have one that would be enough for the run and otherwise I still have my ipod touch. so I decided NOT to buy a new one. half an our ago I wanted to create my run-playlist ... di you know that rechargeable batteries can destroy a mp3 player? I didn't lol now I know. the player works when I plug it into the computer but not with batteries. so that is a sign I guess ... so I will have to buy a new one tomorrow ... mp3 player or ipod shuffle .... no idea ... hope I will get another sign lol

... and suddenly you got a training husband ...

lol the other day I watched "King of Queens" the episode where Carry has a working husband and Doug is jealous because he hasn't ... at the and it turns out that Deacon is Dougs working husband lol funny one.

Anyway from today on I have a training husband. B. and I go to the gym since August. When I started I had some personal traing with a woman. She is very funny so we started to small talk about what I am doing for living and what my hobbies are. She even went to a Big Ben concert and enjoyed it.

So today we went to the gym. B. had trouble with his membership card and when I signed in he had disappeared, so I went to the changing room. When I came out he wasn't in sight so I went to the course ... he wasn't there ... the course started I was all on my own. When I came out of the course he came to me and told me that he had trouble with the membership and that he got some things done and that we would go home now. So I headed the changing room again, when that personal training women shouted after me. She told me she had talked to my man where I was and we were joking around about that.

When I came out from the changing room I had something to do at the counter and she came again to me and looked worried. She asked me if everything is alright because we hadn't done the course together and why B. was leaving just like that not waiting for me and that he had looked peeved bla bla ... I was thinking "What is going on". I told her that everything is alright and she shouldn't be worried lol

But so fast you get a training husband lol

Funny birthdayparty yesterday ...

My friend Matt had his B-day party yesterday and it was so funny .... we were so crazy .... our newest game for fun is charade of movie titles .... so here you go with some pictures:

strange me ....

I did it again .... I decided to buy something and realized that they stopped producing it lol. This week while I was training for the run I'm gonna do next week I decided I should get me another MP3 player for that run, because my ipod touch is just too big for that occasion. Then I had the idea to puchase one of those little ipod shuffle since my music is converted to itunes anyway it it would make things easier for me because of I buy a regular MP3 player I would have to convert the files in MP3 first. So after the training I went to the store, but where they had those with clips months before ...(they were almost throwing them after you around X-mas) ... nothing was left. I realized that there was a new generation of ipod shuffle so obvioulsy they took the other ones out of the program grrrr.

Now I spent the whole morning with finding them online and finding one that would be here in just some days. This is better said than done since it seems that they are either way to expensive for a thing that isn't even recent anymore lol or I found strange shops where I'm not sure if the thing I ordered would ever reach me.

I think I have to go for a regular MP3 player and I will have to spend the time with putting MP3 files on it. damn it!
